Kevin Crawley is the chef / owner of Coriander Bistro, one of the top restaurants in the Boston area for both food and service as recognized by Zagat Survey “Top Restaurants in America” since its inception in 2001. Kevin began cooking at age 9 in his family’s kitchen in Spring Valley, NY. After attending the culinary arts program at Johnson & Wales University, Kevin honed his skills in the Boston area and opened his first restaurant Isabella in 1995. After five years at the helm of this bustling neighborhood bistro, he decided to branch out. With a love of food and a knack for teaching, Kevin created a huge following for his Cable TV show the Screaming Hot Pan. Last fall, Kevin entertained us as he competed on the Food Network Challenge series. He teaches cooking tutorials weekly at Coriander Bistro and has been featured in the Boston Business Journal for using cooking as a vehicle for corporate team building events. Kevin recently participated in the filming of the culinary instructional video “On Cooking” published by Prentice Hall. Kevin is a regular guest chef at the Boston Wine Expo as well as at other major food & wine events. He is an active member of the Boston Epicurean Club and the American Culinary Federation and also serves as the Chef Chairman for the Boston Festival of Food and Wine for the Rett Syndrome Research Foundation. Kevin imparts his culinary enthusiasm to the next generation by teaching at Boston University School of Hospitality Administration.
